Nous sommes fiers de vous présenter le Varsity Pack, notre collaboration Vans OTH pour cet automne, disponible dans le Authentic et le Sk8-Hi 46. Nous nous sommes inspirés de la culture universitaire montréalaise afin d’imaginer une collection enrichie de son style varsity.
Il y a plus de cent ans, le premier club de hockey au monde était fondé et la première partie de football à l’extérieur des États-Unis était jouée. Un étudiant universitaire inventait alors le sport qu’est le basketball. Tout cela se déroule à Montréal.
Rapidement, leur veste et leur chandail d’équipes universitaires ont été adoptés à l’extérieur de la patinoire et du terrain. Admirateurs du varsity jacket traditionnel, nous avons été influencés par son mélange de couleurs et de matières. Les empiècements de cuir et de feutre - dans les tons de gris, brun et bleu marin - incarnent bien cette esthétique à la fois sportive et collégiale. Finalement, les surpiqûres sur la chaussure Authentic et les panneaux du modèle Sk8-Hi témoignent de notre souci du détail afin de recréer un look universitaire à la perfection.
Les Authentic LX (95$ CAD) et Sk8-Hi 46 LX (135$ CAD) seront offerts en quantité limitée dès le samedi 25 octobre à 10h en magasin et 12h en ligne (heure de l’Est).
We are proud to introduce the Varsity Pack, our Vans OTH collaboration for this fall, available in the Authentic and the Sk8-Hi 46. We were inspired by the Montreal college culture and imagined a collection channeling its authentic varsity style.
More than a hundred years ago, the first hockey club in the world was founded and the first football game outside the U.S. was played. A student who was currently in college would go on to invent the sport of basketball. All of it took place in Montreal.
Soon, the university teams’ jackets and sweatshirts were adopted outside the rink, off the court and off the field. As admirers of the traditional varsity jacket, we were influenced by the mix of colors and textures on this classic item while creating the Varsity Pack. The leather and felt pieces – in shades of grey, brown and navy – give a sportswear and college feel to the collection. Finally, the stitching on the Authentic and the paneling of the Sk8-Hi demonstrates our attention to detail and gives a final touch to our varsity look.
The Authentic LX ($95 CAD) and Sk8-Hi 46 LX ($135 CAD) shoes will be available in limited quantity on Saturday, October 25th at 10AM in store and 12PM in the online store (Eastern time).
