maharishi Spring Summer 2015

maharishi est basé sur le design militaire pacifique, et cette saison n'est pas différente avec une collection qui s'inspire de l'Afghanistan et son infâme territoire Helmand.

L'inspiration afghane est en évidence dans la sélection de chemise, avec le Kurta traditionel réimaginé avec des tissus techniques de haute gamme, et des coupes taillés pour vous donner une option avant-gardiste qui se portera bien cet été. La marque britannique offre aussi des t-shirts avec des coupes asymétriques, des bords bruts, et des panneaux qui contrastent légèrement pour créer un look déconstruit qui est idéal pour du layering.

S'est impossible d parler d'une collection maharishi sans mentionner les fameux pantalons. Cette saison la sélection inclue des genoux articulés, des poches cargos, des fermetures riri faites en Suisse, et des tissus légers. Pour ce qui est des pantalons, c'est difficile de trouver une marque aussi réputée que maharishi.

La collection Printemps-Été 2015 de maharishi sera disponible samedi matin à la boutique dès 11h, en quantités limitées!

maharishi has been built around "pacifist military design" and this season's collection is no different as the brand draws inspiration from Afghanistan and it's infamous Helmand province. 

The Afghan inspiration is most evident in the shirting, where the traditional Kurta shirt has been reimagined with technical materials and tailored cuts to provide an eye-catching, yet wearable option for your summer wardrobe. maharishi has also re-imagined your classic t-shirt this season, with long, asymmetric cuts, un-hemmed edges, and all-over panel work that provide an unstructured look that is perfect for layering.

It would be unthinkable to talk about a maharishi collection without talking about the brand's famous pants. This season's offerings feature articulated knee panelling, cargo pockets, Swiss-made riri zippers, concealed pockets, and lightweight fabrics. When it comes to pants, it's hard to find a brand that puts more thought into each stitch, cut and detail than maharishi.

The maharishi Spring Summer 2015 collection will be launching at the shop on Saturday morning, as of 11am, in limited quantities. As always, maharishi is hard to find this side of the Atlantic, so don't miss out!

Depuis 1994, maharishi crée des vêtements durables et utils tout en utilisant des tissus naturels et organiques ainsi que des costumes militaires recyclés. Dès ces débuts, la marque n'utilisera que des méthodes de production équitables et respectueuses de l'environment. 

Se présentant comme un fournisseur de design militaire avec un twist pacifiste, la marque londonienne combine les plus récentes technologies dans le domaines des textiles avec de vieux styles militaires pour créer des produits qui sont à la fois avant-garde et classique. 

Cette saison, le lien entre maharishi et l'Inde, où les vêtements sont produits, est mis en évidence. L'inspiration indienne est particulièrement évidente dans les chemises, qui sont basées sur des chemises indiennes classiques. Aussi disponible cette saison sont les pantalons hydrophobes, pour lesquels la marque est fameuse, cette fois offerts en gris.

maharishi has been creating high-quality and long-lasting utilitarian clothing since 1994. The brand has always always used environmentally friendly and fair-trade production, while using natural fibbers, organic cottons and recycled military clothing. 

Framing itself as a purveyor of "pacifist military design", the London-based brand has married the latest technology in the industry with age-old military designs to create products that are both timeless and avant-garde.

The brand's connection to India, where their garments are produced, is particularly evident with this collection as the shirting is strongly influenced by traditional Indian tops. This season also features another iteration of the brand's now iconic waterproof pant, which is available in grey.

Difficile à croire, mais maharishi aura bientôt 20 ans! À l’approche de cet anniversaire, la marque britannique retourne à ses débuts avec le nouveau lookbook « Skeuomimicry R.I.P. »

Cette saison, les imprimés classiques de maharishi renaissent et tapissent de camouflage les tissus résistants utilisés à travers toute la collection. À la fois contemporains et vintages, les vêtements s’inspirent de vieux uniformes militaires polonais, tchèques, serbes et américains.

La collection AH14 « Skeuomimicry R.I.P. » de maharishi sera bientôt disponible chez OTH.

It’s hard to believe, but maharishi will soon be 20 years old! With this anniversary coming up, the British brand goes back to the beginning with the new lookbook « Skeuomimicry R.I.P. »

This season, the classic prints of maharishi come back to life and cover the resistant fabrics used throughout the collection. Both contemporary and vintage, the clothes are inspired by old military uniforms from Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia and the USA.

maharishi - SS15 Men Collection

À Londres pour le dévoilement des collections pour hommes, maharishi a introduit de nouveaux vêtements pour le PÉ15. 

Avec une identité de marque basée sur l'utilité et la durabilité, maharishi est centré sur le design - un design intelligent, oui. Fidèle à sa nature, le label britannique a présenté des vêtements décontractés et quelques pièces dramatiques pour compléter sa collection vibrante.

Cette saison, le fondateur Hardy Blechman a été inspiré par l'artiste italien Alighiero Boetti - de ses oeuvres à ses visites en Afghanistan. Il a aussi étudié plusieurs types de camouflage en provenance des États-Unis et du Vietnam. Comme Blechman l'a déjà expliqué, l'utilisation de camouflage dans un contexte non-militaire est au coeur de son travail.

La collection PÉ15 sera composée de T-shirts longs, de parkas, de bombers, de vestes et de pantalons à coupe sarouel en noir et blanc ou dans une teinte éclatante de turquoise. Au-delà du camouflage, maharishi a également utilisé des imprimés tribaux colorés.

In London for the men collections, maharishi introduced new apparel for SS15.

With a brand identity based on utility and durability, maharishi is all about design – smart design that is. Staying true to its nature, the UK label showcased casual clothes and a few dramatic pieces to complete its vibrant collection.

This season, founder Hardy Blechman was inspired by Italian artist Alighiero Boetti – from his work to his visits in Afghanistan. He also studied various types of camouflage from America and Vietnam. As Blechman once explained, using camouflage in a non-military context is at the heart of his work.

The SS15 collection will feature long T-shirts, parkas, bombers, jackets and drop-crotch trousers in black and white or in a vivid shade of turquoise. Beyond camouflage, maharishi used colorful tribal patterns as well.

Maharishi FW13 “Pacifist Preppers”

Nous venons de recevoir la collection AH13 « Pacifist Preppers » de Maharishi. Selon le créateur Hardy Blechman, les pacifist preppers sont « ceux qui se préparent pour des changements radicaux au sein de leur environnement ». La collection AH13 est bien entendu, fidèle au style très « militaire pacifiste » de la marque avec des imprimés « coups de pinceau » inspirés du camouflage britannique original peint à la main. Le résultat est un incroyable camo chêne anglais et baies sauvages.

Maharishi’s FW13 “Pacifist Preppers” collection has just arrived. In keeping with the brand’s “pacifist military design” essence, their FW13 collection goes by “pacifist preppers” – in the words of designer Hardy Blechman “people preparing for drastic changes in their environment”.  The military influences are very strong here, as we’ve come to expect, including a brilliant modern take on the original British camouflage, which was made with paint strokes. The result is a fantastic English Oak and berry camo.
